We supposedly get upgrade and other perks as usual although for hotel like Anayela who only have very limited rooms/suites, I wouldn't expect any upgrades.

As for increased rates, it was odd that Marriott refuse to assist in this matter.
Maybe contacting one of the lurkers here could be an option?
