Just seeing this now but regarding the walk late at night, I’d be cautious. Not because of any sketchy areas but I’m not sure how well lit it would be and there are a few turns you have to make. If you knew the route it would probably be fine but wouldn’t advise doing it the first time at night. Would take the bus instead.
