Luckily there was plenty of inventory. I filed a feedback form and they gave me a new ticket number, but the PNR on United's site is still showing the old ticket number (and without a valid seat). I know you can check-in with a ticket number with United, but the site can't pull up a reservation with just a ticket number so I'm still kinda stuck right now. Hopefully the new number is legit though.
