SQ lounge is small and can be crowded. NZ Lounge is bigger and more spacious.
I usually go to both. SQ for food, and then head to NZ to have nice drinks and relax.

SQ lounge was closed at 10:30-11 AM. There was a sign listing SQ flights and the corresponding times when the lounge would be open. Seemed like SQ check in counters were active so presumably they would have morning or afternoon departures from MEL but apparently too late for my flight departing at 13:00.
