There are B77W with 8 F and lie flat J. The seats must be more or less the same size, but just flat. The angled flats are only slightly angled anyway, not like the wedgie seats of old.

And to answer your main question, I don't think you'd be able to tell if was lie flat or angled until you knew the tail number.
