no it's not. Sometimes I had all BPs printed and other times I just got the outbound printed. I really don't know what makes it do it one time and not another, BUT....
it's still a good idea to check-in on line. Once that was done I just walked up to the gate desk and told them I lost my BP and the gate agent has no problems printing new ones.
