This morning three of us in Munich rented a car, drove to Frankfurt. It took only 3.5 hours and was worth every penny of the $600 we paid, for I am now writing this from the US.

When I saw the inbound flights from the US being cancelled from last night, I knew there was no way we would make it out of MUC today. And people whom I befriended during those three days in the lounge and airport who are still there still remain stuck.

If you were to rent a large van from any of the onsite rental cars, you'd be doing people a great service.

I don't expect MUC to be functional until Friday.
