No, not as the only interisland lift. Those 128-seat 717s fly pretty full, and there isn't loose gate space avaible at HNL or OGG for a near-doubling of interisland flights. Maybe they could use a combination of 175s and larger aircraft to better match demand over the course of the day, but that may be more trouble than it's worth, especially as they'd have work to do with HA's pilots and their union to make that possible.

Another question: does AS have enough Maxes coming to repaint 15-20 738s in 2025 and base them in HNL?
