When AS joined OW, I thought it was a natural fit for them. I remember thinking there was no way they'd join OW and just remain a domestic carrier feeding CX, JL and BA, and thought it just seemed like they had aspirations to become an int'l airline. I just had no idea how they were going to do it, and I'm kind'a kicking myself for not paying more attention because the answer was in this forum, merge with HA. If I could turn back the clock, would have picked up a chunk of shares, and if the SEC/DOJ came knocking, I'd reply, "hey man, I read it on FT!"

Jokes aside, assuming they'll get regulatory approval, I think it's an exciting opportunity for AS to go int'l, starting with SE Asia. I'd love nothing more than to see them take this leap.
