We want to get there by public transport. Elizabeth Line + cab seems doable.
Do you any have any tips or recommendations to make the most of our time there?
Ring ahead to prebook the spa facilities at the time you want them. Last time, they required you to book in advance and it can be busy on weekends (unsure if in December it’s as busy but I wouldn’t risk not getting a slot for my birthday).
It might also be worth asking in advance if you can check in early, although they might not be able to guarantee it. Do you have Marriott status?
If coming from LHR, then a taxi/Uber makes the most sense.
The outdoor pool won’t be open at this time of year (and you wouldn’t want it to be) and it might be a bit rainy. If the weather is decent, then walking around the adjacent park is pleasant and recommended.
I hope you have a great stay and birthday.
