I believe the storage (storage bin areas, at least) is exactly the same except for the gap between the cabin wall (window) and seat which allows you slide some stuff in there on the 772/77W - the 789 does not have this I assume due to the smaller width of the fuselage. However, the 772/77W seat is about 1.5" wider.

I was skeptical about the differences and avoided the 789's "smaller" seat but this year I have flown the 789 about 10 times and can honestly say its a marginal difference. I am 6' 3" 285 (linebacker size) and I don't hesitate on to fly the 789 anymore.
