I stayed here 4 nights in January during Chinese New Year of this year, booked using points and cash on a 25% off promo. I literally booked a week before arrival and paid only 1,800 points & US$135.20 per night (total points redeemed 7,200 plus $540.80) which is excellent value in my opinion. Sure it's not high end like the Grand Hyatt around the corner where I've stayed many times, usually only for one night when I'm not paying out of my own pocket. For me, the price I paid for the location and size of the room (standard entry level) was at least half the comparable rates of Hyatt/Marriott nearby. The bathroom was dated but perfectly functional and the service was excellent. Staff at reception, Duty Manager and restaurant staff were all exceptional.
I joined relatives for the Chinese New Year buffet at Opus in the hotel and received a discount for being an IHG member. The buffet was pretty extensive and delicious. We also had the Chinese New Year buffet at the Ritz Carlton Singapore which literally was MAGNIFICENT. Whilst the Opus buffet may not be as grand as other luxury hotels it was indeed excellent by Singapore standards. The tea selection used in‐room and in the restaurants is TWG. Can't beat that when you're in Singapore.
