What would be the justification? Star Alliance and/or Sky Team carriers compete on potential TPAC routes, WN to HI, as well as inter-island. The big losers will likely be current HI partners like B6, DL and UA, who will lose access to codes hares and award redemption.

HA Suffered greatly during the pandemic, required massive support from the State and Federal governments. While they continue to do a good job operationally, IT is in desperate need of an upgrade - unfortunately latter is not one of AS' strengths.

I am baffled by the VX complaints. The business model was unsustainable, never made money, I doubt B6 would have done any better if they would have prevailed.

AS has done an effective job gaining the trust and respect of the local community, so assuming ALK doesn't do anything stupid, this should be well received.

Can't wait for ALK to continuing raising the prominence of my SAN base, becoming an alternative to LAX for TPAC, alongside JL.
