We were greatly delayed due to an air conditioning pack which required a return to stand. The crew were excellent. They dispensed water and juice to the CE passengers and when the delay intensified with all the new paperwork, they offered “real” drinks.

Thus as soon as were airborne they served what by now (14.30) was a late lunch. Menus had been handed out on the ground. We went for the chicken which was delicious as usual. It was not the day for a beef salad being -6°C outside. I enjoyed the potato salad and the quail (?)’s egg. As always we swapped desserts for cheese. The Champagne was plentiful and the red wine was perfectly adequate. All in all an enjoyable flight even though our connections were gone and we knew that we would be at Heathrow that night.
