Took a quick tour today whilst staying at the original IC. Got shown around the Club Lounge
TBH whilst new and pleasant as others have commented location and views from some rooms is at best average.
It really feels more like CP than an IC. It has a pretty thin footprint. The lobby bar is almost in the doorway.
Club Lounge has some nice unrestricted views. But not as compellingly interesting as PC. And the lounge feels very cramped verging on claustrophobic.
No idea what the lounge offer will be. But based on 4 nights so far at PC they are going to have to work hard to compete. The post renovation lounge at PC is very impressive.
Despite being adjacent to a Marriott and Ascott the local restaurants are pretty mid to downscale. That said we had a reasonable lunch in a Chinese roast meat cafe for 150 Thb for 2!
My conclusion was that I wouldn’t consider it as an option unless at least 30% cheaper than PC.
