Same here. I've never tried to go through with a colleague or family in Japan but I never think twice about it when I use it and never got any questions. bocastephen 's post prompted me to look up the actual restrictions again. Very glad he did not lose the card.

I do check for SE Asia, I seem to remember the CBP agent told me it was Thailand and another SE Asian country that was confiscating them, but that's from memory so I am not 100% sure.
