Anyway, your meal sounded good but long.
This flight was EWR-LAX and yes it was a 737-800 or 900, whichever has the winglets.

The menu was quite nice, the meal itself, as for taste wasn't any better than what I've gotten on NW meal flights up front. The warm nuts were different.

I certainly think I got my money's worth -- $195 rt paid first class with a Z fare LAX-MCI but with a mileage run routing -- LAX-CLE-DTW-MCI-EWR-LAX. Almost 9531 EQMs and 17944 banked miles. (CO Z fares flown on NW apparently don't earn the 50% class EQM and Banked miles bonuses.)
