Booked a "mystery car" in Portland for this weekend. Since it seems many people don't want EV's, I was curious about this comment on the selection (I own an EV so I prefer them). "Mystery Car May Be Gas Hybrid or EV or similar."

Original car assigned was a Dodge Ram 4x4 Quad Cab pickup. Thankfully I put in the wrong time on the reservation so it auto cancelled after two hours and said to step into the Preferred Desk upon arrival. Went to the desk, and was told today's selection for mystery car are (a) pickup truck, (b) minivan or (c) sports car. I asked if I could get an EV (there were at least 20 EV's on the lot as I walked through) but was told that was in a different class. Ended up with a Camaro. After the car was assigned, I had the opportunity to switch to an Equinox SUV but since I haven't ever driven a Camaro, I'd give it a shot. Tiny backseat, small trunk and the touchscreen for the radio/climate seems to angle down (oddly). Plenty of power from the turbocharged 4 cylinder engine, but probably not a car I'd rent again.
