I'm feeling pretty dumb right now, but I can't seem to wrap my head around when/if my lifetime status year will increment next year after reading the Marriott article...
Scenario: Titanium for 2022 status year, but didn't not re-qualify. Dropped to Platinum for 2023 status year. Will maintain Platinum for 2024.
Per Marriott website:
"If you maintained the same Elite status in 2023 that you started with in 2023, your 2023 Eligible Status Year for your current status will be applied to your Account in January 2024."
I started 2023 as Titanium, but dropped to Plat for 2023, so no increment in Jan 2024.
"If you achieved a higher Elite status during 2023, your 2023 Eligible Status Year for the new, higher tier was applied at the time of achievement."
Not applicable
"If you did not meet the published criteria to renew your current status in 2023, your 2023 Eligible Status Year for your current status will be added in January 2024, and your Eligible Status Year for your new status will be added in March 2024 when your Elite status is updated."
My current status is Platinum, and I will renew as Platinum for 2024, so this section doesn't apply either.
Does this mean my lifetime counter will not increment in 2024?
