Currently on my SV TUN-JED-BKK business class trip. Just arrived in JED and I was denied access to the SV First Class lounge. I showed my J boarding card and my iPhone app FB Platinum card to the 2 guys at the lounge entrance and they said no First Class lounge. Entered the lounge and asked a SV lady at a podium, showed my boarding card and FB Platinum e-card and she also said only "Gold and not Silver" can go in the First Class lounge, I think she only knew of the SV Alfursan program tiers so I thought it pointless to pursue with her. I don't know if SV have stopped FB Platinum access or just the people I asked, but I tried twice.

My BKK routing has a 7h 50m outbound and 10h 15m return layover in JED. Just some comments about the JED lounge: it is cold, the WiFi is slow, there's only 2 showers (in male washroom) and one was out of action, the food is OK and only plastic cups and cutlery are for self serve food and drinks. BTW, the plug sockets at the comfy seats are hidden underneath a circular disk in the tables!

In addition, I used the Maia Suites Hotel in TUN for 1 night before my trip. Perfectly good for what I needed and I pre-arranged their driver for from and to the airport for 50 TND each way, paid at reception and he had a easy to spot sign for me in arrivals.
