Outside of the Y seats and the IFE you're getting the same plane and crew and same cabin service you would get on a regular mainline flight. I just want a heads up so I can decide if I care enough about the Y seats to change flights or if I want to select a different seat.

However last time I was scheduled on one of these fins YYZ-YOW I got an email ahead of time alerting me about the different plane with the lack of IFE on my upcoming flight, but that they were providing free WiFi in compensation. Then they ended up doing an equipment swap to a mainline A320 but at least I thought it was decent that they provided a heads up which IMO is enough here.
