It was a great first trip, but I'm sorry ORDnHKG had a less than positive experience. The interruption in the service due to weather may have contributed to some of this.

On the IFE front, I found it entertaining that there is a feature you can enable that displays local information about various points of interest as you are flying overhead. Here's an example:

Also, for the inaugural, menu options were the Chicken Meatballs, Mushroom Ravioli and Ginger Beef Salad for those who could not preorder. I chose the Mushroom Ravioli below:


Next up we need to start a "Where to Sit..." thread. I will make this comment here - the Row 1 bulkhead seats have generous legroom, the Row 7 DEF seats and 8ABC seats have generous legroom - but on the 7DEF side they do not have a monitor available for takeoff/landing due to the monitor being stowed in the seat. There is a drop down video monitor above those seats to show the preflight safety video. The tradeoff is that you have access to underseat stowage in 7 DEF as the F seats in front of you have a half height divider.
