Personally I think AS is pretty great. But others may not and they wouldn't be terribly off-base. AS is the only airline flying ZNY-SFO that doesn't have PTVs at every seat on nearly every flight. AA (and maybe Delta?) have complimentary "meals" (usually a sandwich or wrap IIRC). The only areas where AS is ahead is that T7 is a breeze compared to any other terminal at JFK, the onboard soft product, and the cheap wifi (though JetBlue has it free and soon Delta will as well). So at least on this route, Alaska really is worse than the competition. Yet here I am flying them exclusively on the route... maybe I am a glutton for punishment
