The point for some of us is that, while we want AS to work for us most of the time, it doesn't ex-SFO and OAK, notwithstanding all the hype and local advertising. I'm not criticizing AS for wanting to make money. And my simple truth is if I need to fly another carrier, all other things being equal, DL provides me with a better overall experience than AA, so there goes some of the OW flying. But I'd prefer to fly AS when possible, so I hope those possibilities are restored and increase, and to be competitive on the non "premium" transcon routes, all AS needs to do is have some inflight crew attitude adjustments and perhaps spend a few more cents per passenger on the soft product. It already has the best pitch and least worst dreck on the meal tray.
