My husband and I both have Chase British Airways cards. When we meet a $30k minimum spend on each card in a calendar year, we get a companion voucher on each card. It is good for two years.

I am sitting close to meeting min spend on both cards and have been using other cards so as to wait until close to end of December to hit the minimum spend because I want to use them for a vacation near Christmas 2025. However, I need to pay property taxes on three properties and I want to get the avios on those spends. (I am about to get busy with parties and Christmas, etc. and just want to take care of this so as to not worry about it.) If I go ahead and meet minimum spend on both cards, when will the vouchers "issue" for purposes of starting the 2 year period in which I need to use the vouchers?

For example, if I met the minimum spend on December 1st and the statement closes on December 26th, but the voucher isn't issued until January 15th, will my companion vouchers expire on: December 1st, 2025; December 26th, 2025; or January 15, 2026?
