This is my first post and I hope I have posted in the right place.

I need to book a flight from Miami at London Heathrow on 5th November 2024. My companion voucher expires on 29th October 2024. I know I can use my voucher as long as my outbound is before the expiry date. Background - I am going on a cruise from Southampton to Miami therefore only need a one way flight. I have tried to book a LHR to DUB outbound before voucher expiry and MIA to LHR inbound. BA have priced the fare and Avios, given me a booking reference and sent it off for ticketing. After chasing many times over the last week I am now told I cannot have this routing using Avios/companion voucher. My intention was to stay a couple of days in Dublin and book a separate one way flight DUB to LHR.

Does anyone know if this routing is possible or any other routing that might work. I choose Dublin as it was short haul and inexpensive for me to book a separate one way bearing in mind I don’t really need the flight in the first place.
