Has anyone tried purchasing on KLM website when not logged in and entering DL status to select seats, and then logging in to Flying blue account and adding flying blue number? From what I have read the flying blue number would always take precedent.

I am also considering switching from Delta SkyMiles to Flying Blue, and considering how to mitigate the transition period.
