These changes are unquestionably positive, giving added choice and taking nothing at all away. (except a $100 gift certificate where many people chose the points anyhow)
I am with you. Honestly, I read this morning's email with excitement. No more dull "club access awards," which are useless as a Globalist. A Cat. 8 option. Actual choices. And for one who lives in hotels, 150 nights tops the rest. I am at 102 for 2023, and I hit that in August. I moved to an IHG, where I am well over the Diamond threshold and enjoying all those choices and benefits now too. This was a wise move all around. I was a bit surprised to read so much distaste, but I suppose that's par for the course, too.
