Ah, I took it to mean the OP asked "nicely," or maybe little too nicely? By "impressed," I meant a little more assertively. While individual experiences do vary considerably, I can't ever recall in any service oriented environment such as the CCR, where when I had impressed for anything reasonable assertively hadn't been met with almost immediate attention.
