The Canadian Embassy I spoke to also confirmed they’ve been getting new designs since mid-Oct. (these guys get theirs from Gatineau CPC fwiw)

There is a very good chance you’ll get the new design provided Mississauga or Gatineau, or any Passport Canada/Service Canada centres with a new printer installed issues them. Toronto Downtown and Burnhamthrope also has them now.
Perfect - thanks. I've been visiting my local passport office to ask if they have the new printer yet...But no sign of it yet. Will give Toronto Downtown a try
