Look here --> UA Bag Interlining If Separate Tix with *A Partners (YES) & Non *A Partners (NO)

Have you checked

LHR terminal that UA lands at and EI departs from
UK visa requirements, as you will formally enter UK for EI check-in.bag drop (as separate tickets)
