Had a pretty great meal ex-HAN. No soup or starter again this time, however, unlike my last flight, the crew explained that they haven’t catered enough even though there wasn’t a heavy load on the flight. Both my FA and CSD said it was due to budget cutbacks that on flights without full loads, they skimp on catering starters and soups, otherwise I could have both. I absolutely appreciate the honesty, so no points off imho. The starter was very well flavored, but the rice paper on the spring rolls were dried up (which makes sense) so didn’t have the most pleasant texture, but still tasty. The main….wow! The grouper and noodles were perfectly cooked and had loads of flavors. Honestly could’ve easily gotten this in nicer restaurant in Hanoi. The dessert was also phenomenal and was served *warm*, something I haven’t seen since pre-covid. Tea was good as usual. Crew was absolutely wonderful. Great meal and flight!
