Do they not still need to earn 20k tier miles from flying though? Double edged sword I guess. I’d be annoyed if the result is a watered down product for status pax but then again if people don’t fly enough to earn the status organically then will there be a noticeable difference to frequent flyers? Pax could obtain gold status but then potentially only fly once or twice whilst they hold the status.
