reading the posts now- thanks for the heads up- will see what I can do to prevent that - does flying blue have any sort of shopping portal to earn a few points? no real good place to do a mattress run near me, and I won't have any Delta flights coming up before I want to book.

I could call and put the flight on hold before transferring the points, but not sure if that will work or not?
