The digital credit is becoming less and less useful with the prices of all the subscriptions going up all the time. It used to cover Sirius, Hulu and NYT and now it does not.
Fyi if you call the NYT to cancel they will almost inevitably offer you another year's subscription at your current rate or maybe even lower. I suspect the same is true for many other subscription services as well.
