Any partner (not AA) award booked through AA costs 70k to go from the US to southeast Asia.

AA has 2 Asia zones. Asia 1 is Japan and Korea; Asia 2 is anything else. US-Asia 1 is 60k, and US-Asia 2 is 70k.

Doing it this way is better then booking an award to Tokyo and then a separate award from Tokyo to southeast Asia because that 2nd award is going to be more than 10k. You just want to book a single award with a connection in Tokyo.
