Start by pricing things out.
And as mentioned lounge access helps.
We needed 4 segments a few years back and did BNA-ATL-Greenville, SC. and back. 4 segments - think the highest was $59. since we had CP,.. the other flew along for $5.60 each way. Lounges in ATL (twice) and Grenville. So lots of free food and drink.
