Business Platinum has a feature which delivers about the same value $0.0155/point, but again only if you book through the American Express portal.
Both portals are outsourced, and there are service problems if flights are cancelled or changed.
Both programs have airline transfer partners in all three international airline alliances. with some overlap. Chase has more hotel partners.

Is the Amex feature you're talking about the 35% points back feature for having the Amex Platinum?
I have heard about issues with tickets booked through 3rd parties, which is a concern. I was looking at using the portal for airfare mainly because the transfer partners I was looking at seem to be very difficult to book with milage points (ie ANA).
