One way I can corroborate is to say that the pilots' announcements are frequently (typically?) very soft and hard to hear. I pointed out to FA's from time to time that what I (?) I heard was just about worthless. For safety's sake, they could do better on volume (low) on this one.

Agree, the hyper volume from the FA's is terrible. Trying to complete a cell phone call for important/urgent reasons just prior to take off is abysmal. It is usually accompanied by a forceful, curt FA admonishment to put the phone away, once there was finally an opportunity to use it. Have asked them to lower volume, which occasionally they have tried to do. Like anything on Alaska Airlines, it is "hit and miss"---much like pre departure drinks or blankets in F cabin for transcon pax.

Not making this stuff up. Too damn loud, especially felt in F for some reason.
