Here's kind of an interesting situation. I'm flying BZE-IAH-SFO on a D fare. After landing in IAH I cleared standby for an earlier flight, but in the back of course (totally worth it to get home 4 hours earlier and no expectation of staying in F). The interesting part is that even with a paid F ticket I'm only at 8 on the upgrade list! Once I clear the standby list into an E seat does the regular upgrade priority apply the same as if I had purchased an E seat?

edited to add- I'm also in boarding group 2 somehow, although can still preboard with 1k, very strange
