Damn. Thats in total contrast to what I've had happened. The GA were actually going through and sorting everyone by status and then booting from there. They actually downgraded folks who had used Upgrade Certs because they were lower status than everyone else. I feel like those folks should have been protected first, then by status. And I definitely had to have been close to the last one booked as I booked it 2 days prior as a mileage run whim. Honestly....as a 100k I would ..... to corporate very loudly. This seems to be yet another one of those training things.
One of the major problem at Alaska is there is very little real training. Seems like many FAs and GAs just wing things as they go. So it leads to a lot of inconsistency in service and process. Was probably ok 10 years ago when they were much smaller, but the industry has moved on.
