Given that you don't get status upfront and it's just a pro-rata of the annual requirement for the promotional period (c. 5 months), I don't see there being a huge spike in numbers as would otherwise be the case for a status match.

In other words, most people who would qualify under this fast track should generally be able to qualify naturally anyway.
