I recently stayed at the Gora Kadan and, frankly, don't understand the draw.

Service was friendly, but not personal. Rooms were in OK shape but furniture was falling apart. Food was just OK. Atmosphere was not very private. Room was not clean. I also wonder what this building is really for as it extends probably 5 floors in to the ground and the hotel only seems to occupy about 1/4 of it.

For $1,300 per night, I expected something comparable to Al Maha with gorgeous furnishings, spectacular service, & exceptional food. I was very disappointed and recommend anyone reading this avoid it.
