I was able to accomplish this last year via a call to the JAL contact center. It was a slow and very Japanese phone call with a great deal of identity verification. And my AA ff# did not show properly on their website even after the call. But sure enough, when I checked in it was there, and I was able to use my OWE status to access the F lounge. YMMV.
