It's been a few years since I had an AA card (my last one was a Barclays I got in the Fall of 2019, which I've since closed). But I thought that historically, the miles earned from purchases typically posted just a few days after the closing date of the statement on which the purchases posted. Might have been an exception for purchases posted late in the statement cycle.

Perhaps things have changed.
