Flying with wife on 789 (JL7-BOS-NRT) in Oct ‘24 (first time Sky Suite flyers). In looking at reviews/photos, it is hard to tell which seat pairs would be best for couples. Can anyone provide which would be best suited?
1) 2D/2G (center section)
2) 3H/3K (aisle/window)
3) Travel as solo, as communication is a PITA on any adjoining seats… (maybe just pick 2 windows)
Also, which side of the plane for this route would be considered the “hot side?”
And if we do get a window, it would be nice to see Mt. Fuji 😀
The middle seats are perfectly aligned, while the window seats are a bit off set, the aisle seat is a bit further back. But as long as the partion is not raised communication is reasonably OK in either. The A side should be the sunny side, but I never really looked what extent the Boston flight gets sun, or flies in night zones.
Views of Mt Fuji are tricky when landing in Narita. It is pretty far away. Though the A side is probably your best chance. Landing on 34L/R will have Fuji on the A side. Landing on 16R/L will usually have Fuji on the a side with a 180 degree turn having Fuji on the K side for short final. Though I will add that there are probably more landings in Narita not seeing Fuji at all due to clouds.
