I have family in Canada trying to get through on my behalf just to confirm the new itinerary is ticketed and valid, but waits are abysmal the last few days. Have not gotten through.
Can you see anything on the web site of the other airline?
I should have gotten the file locator of the first flight on GOL (the one that has been changed) before I left Canada , but dummie I am I did not. United shows all file locators but that would be be too sevice-oriented for Air Canada.
Worst case scenario, if the first leg still shows, hopefully they will let you fly it. My guess would be that the next leg is AC out of GRU. The AC people at GRU should be able to deal with whatever the issue is.
On my trips it shows Flight 1, which is the original itinerary including the first , GOL , leg that is now canceled. Then Flight 2 showing the new, replacement GOL flight. Just that flight not the rest of the Air Canada trip.
Yes , the rest is Air Canada.
If the second is now the valid one we are good to go. But, would feel better if was sorted out. Especially, this being Brazil, starting the trip on a Brazilian airline, not the most helpful.
This said, normally when they change your itinerary, and you don't acknowledge, the changed itinerary remains in place. Real question being, do you like it...
Yes I am fine with the change, it's just the short hop out of Rio to GRU. Was out of SDU now out of GIG (GOL canceled the former).
