This mini review covers the Star Alliance Schengen lounge located in the Schengen part T1 of Amsterdam airport.
The Star Alliance lounge is side by side next to the Aspire lounge. Aspire handles the catering for both.
As it seems there is no recent datapoint about the food and beverage offering at the Star Alliance Schengen lounge,
i took the liberty to snap some photos today to inform you of the current situation.
Beware this is photo heavy and also shows the lounge as a oasis of calm at 14.45 on Monday 27 Nov 2023.
So let's have a look
Follow the signs for lounge 27 in T1 Schengen
on the upper mezzanine you will find both Star Alliance and Aspire lounge side by side
A bord shows whom may enter the gates of paradise,
And just after reception we see the main room
It's Christmas time Charley Brown!
The lounge's only windows are shown here
With views on an athentic F100 Fokker KLM plane
https://www.schiphol.nl/en/page/see-...anes-up-close/
Via the public area panorama viewing terrace is the only way to enter the F100

more seating area closer to the adult beverages section
An assortment of seating areas, note the calm after the storm
Tables set up for easy dining
A look back to the front of the lounge and its sole window
There is communal work table and productivity booths
Productivity booth up close
And let's look at the restrooms ...
For men only ... i would cause hysteric sreaming if popping into the ladies
The toilets are fortunately still gender segregated here
A total
of 4 sinks
of 3 WC
of 4 urinals
And onwards to the most important section ..... the catering
Let's first start with the cold items station

Cold items to be found here
And this is on the buffet:

The tandoori chicken wrap is quite tasty and spicy

And they do have fruit sprinkles and choolate sprinkles = Dutch hagelslag
And now onwards to the hot buffet section

Warm/hot items can be found here, behind it is the direct from kitchen to buffet stock window

Overheard that breads are freshly baked

Penne pasta
with arabicca
or with carbonara sauce
(pasta was al dentej

Chicken pilaf
Coconut vegtable curry
Wild rice
And you can see that Aspire caters their own lounge and the Star Alliance lounge,
Shown below is the secret staff door connecting the shared kitchen between lounges
It would be technically possible to lounge hop and see how the fabulous rich are doing at the other side ....
I name it the idle fabulous rich because the Aspire lounge caters to Schengen Oneworld airlines and Schengen priority pass and premium credit card holders. The Star Alliance lounge serves only *G card holders and *alliance premium cabin passengers
And here you see the communal kitchen windows open up to stock the warm buffet.... if you here the crackling sound, it is not the old fashioned departures board but fresh hot food being put out
And how about staying hydrated .....

The lounge has 2 drinks cabinets and 2 coffee machines

Ice cubes, juices and water

Not a liquid but to lazy to reshuffle the photos

Both drinks cabinet stock exactly the same contents
Important: there is Warsteiner + Leffe beers
back to the counter
If like Sheldon Cooper, you would like to give you own Amy Farrah Fowler a hot beverage for emotional support......
Choice of essential Dutch PickWick teas
Coffee choices from the machine
There is a second machine in the lounge if there is a queue
And especially for our British and Nordic friends on the board,
A look at the adult beverages....
Note:
these are not available during breakfast hours and thus seem to pop out after 11.30s mornings when the lounge switches to lunch/dinner presentation
Help yourself Heineken tap draft
For a more refined tiipple

Things made from a grape - i hope -
And for those needing a drink à la Mrs. Peacock from Clue the movie
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clue_(film)
This should cover all basics in flavours and tastes ....
VERDICT:
if coming outside breakfast hours, the F&B is quite sufficient to tide you over if you feel peckish or thirsty
this is not a lounge to spend hours in or lavishly enjoy snooze roooms / shower suites or spa treatments ..... as there are none
the lounge is very functional in design and seating
strong internet and powerplugs were ready available because there were no crowds... this can be totally different in the morning
enough staff were on hand, roaming the lounge to clear plates and keep the buffet tidy
If part of your premium cabin ticket or part of your *G benefit, this lounge makes a comfy waiting place (outside morning hours) instead of the hustle and bustle of the main terminal.
* overheard new staff being instructed, Aspire Lounge has drinks from the fountain and not flasks, Star Alliance has the premium "hot" food options
