I noticed the same even last year (after the opening of Saudi airspace) -- so this is something that precedes the current situation.

Also, it is a bit of a puzzle why two flights, starting from two airports in India that are not too far apart, take divergent routes -- especially when the southern route adds quite a bit of extra time (leading to a delay of more than an hour today, for example).
