I must say Scoot does the nickel-and-diming far too well which you have unfortunately realised. I'm inclined to believe the entire "no outside food" policy on TR is a result of my countrymen just being so stingy on paying for food onboard - one wouldn't have the same equivalent problem on Ryanair or Easyjet.
Your flight on the 14th was affected by
this, where one of the airforce's F16 had a bit of an issue and caused a runway to close. But yeah Scoot packs their flights a bit too tightly which means unless you're on the first flight out of SIN there's a likelihood you'll not arrive right on time with Scoot.
My travel partner and each ate a Kind bar surreptitiously. We definitely did not average 30 min delay! A lot of the passengers appeared to just get the bundle that included the meal.
